So far so good...staff is nice and friendly owner is always willing to talk to you and answer questions I can say to date I have not been disappointed
Very cozy place, clean and great service, even the customers were really nice to us. Service was fast, menu is small but they'll work with you to get your order the way you want it. Very quiet, not even a radio on, everything is on disposable plates, cups and plastic wear, which in occasions is definitely a good thing. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
The building and decor is simple and provide a nice relaxing accent. They are in the middle of construction and upgrading the interior structure. It is an nationally registered historic building for the Civil Right movement. It one of the first business that hosted a Sit In and help start the end segregation in the area.

The Hawk's Cafe & General Store provide breakfast and lunch all day with a unique flavor of flavor and good portions. Also, offer one vegetarian option for both breakfast and lunch. The food was serve fresh off the grill and you can see the food being cooked in front of you. My meal was called "The Southerner", a mixture of burger, creamy cheese, and fried green tomatoes. It was served on paper plates and brought to our table. It reminded me of my grandmothers cooking with more turkey and rounded flavor. Overall, a good experience and good food.
