Have personally found twist ties in corn, trash (napkins partially eaten food) between wet "clean" plates, silverware with food particles dried on them, sanitize buckets with floating debris stored improperly in wait stations, above mentioned silverware being wrapped by wait staff after smoking without washing hands, filthy bathrooms with no soap no paper towels, heat wells filled with scummy under temp water, and money handled without washing hands before returning to food prep area. All of that in one visit with fewer than 30 people dining.

For even more, look up the past health inspections. listing food left out uncovered overnight, food improperly stored/served at improper temps, raw liver thawing in sink, broken dishwasher, raw meats stored above partially covered cooked meats... Same violations over and over inspection after inspection.
Food was AMAZING! Everything was made from scratch...can't wait to go back!!!
Horrible! Our waitress made our family of 5 plus baby move from a 6 person table to a 4 person table so she could "save it for her other customer." She then continued to be abrupt and rude. Food was not impressive...I've had better pretty much every place I've ever been. We had to stop on the way home for edible food. Certainly NOT worth the money or time.
As a restaurant manager with years of 100% inspections, I'm surprised Health Dept allows the Kinstonian to remain open.
This has got to be the best soul food restaurant in NC! Omg! We heard about this place by word of mouth and made that trip from Raleigh to get this delicious food... The food was so good we took plates home with us after already eating the buffet... My family and some of our friends will be returning from Raleigh to get this good food... The lady at the register and our waiter was so friendly.. We will make Kinstonian a tradition in our household.. I love the food and the small town hospitality that goes with it!
